Creative Team Bios

Director Michael Schoemann's directorial credits include the international animated hit, The Adventures of Pico and Columbus. With Producer Dietmar Kablitz, he is also founder of Benchmark Entertainment (formerly ORB Filmproduktion) of Munich, one of Germany's outstanding animated production companies. The creative team Schoemann assembled for Millionaire Dogs includes many of the top names in animation: Veterans such as Walter Kossler, production designer of Balto, as well as an impressive selection of artists who contributed to landmark imaginative projects from Alien to The Fifth Element to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Most recently, Schoemann and Benchmark are co-producing the innovative and eagerly awaited 3D animated series, Wombat City, which is currently in post-production.

Writer Karin Howard counts among her credits the stories for the films of the classic children's book, The Never Ending Story (Parts II and III), as well as the award-winning feature, The Tigress. She is a member of The Directors Guild of America.

Writer Joe Steuben, in his earlier career as a Director of Photography and camera operator, was associated with a long and impressive list of feature films, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, and Blues Brothers, along with TV/Cable series such as Max Headroom, Dream On, and Beauty and The Beast.
